Cyfle i gwrdd â'r artist, a bydd hi'n darllen darn byr o'i llyfr, 'And: a memoir of my mother'. Croeso i bawb. Ganed Isabel Adonis yn Llundain i fam o Gymru, Catherine, a thad o India'r Gorllewin, Denis Williams. Roedd hi'n wraig gartref ac roedd yn artist ac ysgrifennwr. Mae ei waith celf bellach i’w gweld yng nghasgliad y Tate. Symudodd i Khartoum yn y Sudan pan oedd hi'n chwech oed a threuliodd ddwy flynedd yno lle cafodd ei dylanwadu gan Gelf Islamaidd. Yn 1959 daeth i fyw yng Ngogledd Cymru a chafodd ei haddysg yn Ysgol Ramadeg John Bright yn Llandudno. O oedran ifanc arbrofodd gyda thecstilau a gwneud cwiltiau ac yn ddiweddarach symudodd ymlaen i wneud lluniau brethyn a doliau. Yn 2008 daeth o hyd i gynfas ar ochr y ffordd, a chymryd y dylai ddechrau paentio. Cafodd ei dylanwadu gan gelf werin America yn ogystal a mytholeg Gymreig. Mae hi'n caru lliw a phaentio mewn acrylig ac yn defnyddio elfennau collage. Mae Isabel wedi arddangos yng Nghanolfan Ucheldre ac ym Mostyn, Llandudno. Yn 2024 cafodd ei chomisiynu i greu paentiad ar gyfer Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru, Aberystwyth ac eleni prynwyd ugain o baentiadau arall. Mae'r paentiad a gomisiynwyd, "Going to Africa" ar hyn o bryd yn rhan o'r arddangosfa 'Portraits and Power' yn y Llyfrgell Genedlaethol sy'n rhedeg tan 30 Mai 2026. Yn ogystal â'r gweithiau yn yr arddangosfa, mae gan Isabel waith ychwanegol i'w gwerthu, a ddangosir yma a gellir eu gweld ar gais neu eu prynu'n uniongyrchol gyda Storiel.
