Hailing from Sheffield, bilingual quartet Sister Wives have created an impressive discography since their beginnings in 2018. Their compositions weave wild tales braiding the Welsh and English language that focuses on forgotten feminist histories through myth and landscape. Their haunting four part harmonies are filtered through a wash of psychedelia, avant space rock and ferocious fuzz-laden folk.
Their debut album Y Gawres was nominated for the prestigious Welsh Music Prize in 2023, whilst their recent hit Yn Canu has gained positive press from both Welsh and English radio, whilst Malady has become an alternative hard rocking anthem for this summer’s festivals.
This will be an opportunity to see one of the most vibrant bands in the “Cymro Curio” scene and to hear new songs from their upcoming sophomore album.
