Friends of Storiel

If you would like to join the Friends of Storiel please pick up a form from the Reception Desk or contact the Membership Secretary pamela@pamelagreen.plus.com

The subscription is only £10 a year and you can sign up with your whole family for £12.   If you are unemployed it is only £5.

For this subscription you will become part of a group of people dedicated to helping to raise the profile of Storiel, to increase its role in the local community and to tell visitors the fascinating history of our home area.

The Friends hold 2 series of lunchtime talks each year, often relating to our own collections, sometimes on broader historical topics in association with some of the temporary exhibitions put on by the museum. We also hold fund-raising events, especially a Christmas Party in early December, with sales of books and intriguing bric á brac.

The money that we raise is given to Storiel to pay for conservation of historical objects and paintings, to buy new exhibits, to improve the displays and help the administration. Members also serve refreshments at art show openings, and provide the money for prizes and for buying plants for the garden.
