A fun (and frightning) family workshop for children over 7 with Lowri Mai
After being inspired by the story and art ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendak and old puppet shows. Artist Lowri Mai will present a workshop for children and young people inspired by Halloween which is about creating theatre and characters out of cardboard.
Participants of the workshop will create layers of scenes, decorate the theatre and create a puppet of a creature that will play and live in the theatre. Although the idea was inspired by ‘Where the Wild Things Are’, there will be an opportunity for the children to create a world and creatures that represent their imagination. There will also be a chance for participants to take their theatres home to use.
This is a family workshop and participants under the age of 7 must be acompanied by a parent or guardian .
These workshops are funded by the Federation of Welsh Museums and the Welsh Assembly
