Join us at Storiel on the of December the 5th at 2 pm for an artist talk by Gareth Griffith, winner of this year’s Gold Medal for Fine Art at the 2025 National Eisteddfod in Wrexham. Gareth will guide us through the inspiration behind the five works chosen by the selectors to consider for the National Eisteddfod’s annual exhibition, Y Lle Celf, as well as other recent work in the series. The three judges, Bedwyr Williams, Angela Davies and Anya Painstil invited Gareth to extend his submission so that it reflected his studio practice. The artist talk can delve into the twenty-strong works that caught the imagination of Festival goers in the Eisteddfod in August.
Gareth Griffith is also exhibiting recent work in Storiel’s cabinet – a space for artists to respond to Storiel’s museum collections through contemporary art.
