In these fascinating paintings, Ceri Pritchard aims to achieve a feeling of another world, juxtaposing the familiar with the out of the ordinary.
His painting has developed through lived experience having spent many years living and working in France, the United States, and Mexico, whilst also retaining strong ties with Wales. Each country providing a wealth of diverse influences continually accumulated.
Working in 3 and 2 dimension, he has always been interested in the illusional and psychological effects of shape, colour and pattern; bringing together human and animal forms; creating surreal deviations from the world we know.
