Today, Halloween is a time of joy and merriment for children. A time when they run amok around local communities in fanciful costumes, collecting sweets as they shout “trick or treat!”. Many believe that Halloween is an entirely American tradition, but Wales has celebrated Halloween under the name ‘Calan Gaeaf’ for centuries!

In this workshop we will explore traditions and beliefs surrounding Halloween that are entirely Welsh! We will also be delving into lore pertaining to Ghosts, Goblins, Fairies, Witches, and more! Come and join us to see how old Welsh traditions still continue to inspire Halloween today. This workshop will be run by a modern-day Pagan Witch, and therefore those who attend will also have the opportunity to learn how we can draw inspiration and information from older beliefs and practices for our magical and spiritual pathways today.
