STORIEL continues to collect and develop its collection and collects objects that helps us to interpret and understand the history and culture of Gwynedd and its people. Bert Isaac, painter, illustrator, printmaker and inspirational art teacher, was born in Pontypridd, South Wales, in 1923. He was a prolific landscape painter, and favoured places that showed evidence of past human activity and industry, such as Dorothea Quarry.
A chance to participate in a scratch the slate by creating a variety of shapes and patterns on pieces of “slate” with artist Elen Williams.
