It is intended to create a display on the theme ‘protest’ in the community case at Storiel 30 March to 26 September 2020. There is a gap in Storiel’s collection on the theme protest, so we are making an appeal for objects on this theme. If you have any objects are you willing to either donate or lend them to Storiel.

We are looking for objects created or used by people protesting for causes to get their voices heard during the 20th century up to the present relating to the Gwynedd area. Examples could be suffragette, strikes, Welsh language, climate change protests. Objects could include traditional items such as banners, posters, badges or everyday objects that tell a personal story of protest.

If you have any objects, please contact Bangor University and Storiel Museum Collections Officer, Helen Gwerfyl [email protected], 01286 679823 by 6 March 2020.

A drop in day has been organised on 27 February 2020 11.00-3.00 where members of the public can bring in objects relating to protest.”
